We partnered with British Rowing to build Go Row — a national platform connecting aspiring rowers with Learn to Row courses at clubs across the UK, timed to capitalise on the surge of interest sparked by the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The Brief
Growing Participation, Nationwide
British Rowing wanted to harness the wave of public interest following the Paris 2024 Olympics and convert curious onlookers into active participants. The challenge was scale — connecting thousands of potential rowers with the right club and the right course, anywhere in the country.
They needed more than a simple listings page. The platform had to handle real-time course data from clubs across the UK, accept secure online payments, integrate with their existing membership system, and deliver a booking experience smooth enough that no one would abandon halfway through.
Location-Based Discovery
Let anyone in the UK find courses near them quickly, using nothing more than their postcode.
Seamless Online Booking
Handle registration, membership data capture, and secure Stripe payments in a single, uninterrupted flow.

How We Delivered
Every feature was designed to reduce friction — making it as easy as possible for anyone to find their nearest course and get on the water.
Rich Course Detail Pages
Each course has its own detail page with club imagery, location mapping, course fundamentals, and available dates — giving potential participants everything they need to commit.
Membership Registration
Participant details are captured and stored directly in the British Rowing Membership system, keeping all rower data centralised and compliant.
Stripe Payment Processing
Secure course bookings are handled through Stripe, with pre-filled registration details at checkout and automatic confirmation emails on completion.
Just Go Integration
The platform connects directly to British Rowing's "Just Go" system, pulling live course data from clubs nationwide so the information is always current.
Mobile-Ready Design
With the majority of users browsing on their phones, the entire platform was built mobile-first — fast, accessible, and easy to use on any device.
Postcode Course Search
Users simply enter their postcode to instantly surface nearby Learn to Row courses, sorted by distance and displayed on an interactive map.
